As one of Europe’s leading tech hubs, Kista Science City brings together companies, researchers and public actors to accelerate innovation with real-world impact. With long-standing experience in coordinating national programmes and test environments, they provide the infrastructure that connects civil innovation with defence needs. They are also a founding partner of Ignite Sweden and co-leads an EDIH in cybersecurity.
Since 2002, STING has supported more than 400 startups and helped them raise over 11.5 billion SEK in private capital. With deep expertise in deep tech, healthtech and ICT, they provide hands-on coaching and access to Sweden’s most active private seed investor, Propel Capital. They back promising teams from early idea to international scale.
THINGS connects deep tech startups with industry to turn innovation into practical results. Through events, scouting and long-term collaboration formats, they help new technologies in fields like IoT, AI and connected systems reach real-world deployment. Their work strengthens the ties between startups and large companies — with growing relevance for the defence sector.
KTH
KTH is one of Europe’s top technical universities — and KTH Innovation turns its ideas into real-world impact. Each year, they support 400+ innovation projects, many with dual-use potential, and offer expertise in IP, tech transfer, and early-stage development. Their team includes experts with defence backgrounds and strong ties to national initiatives and industry.
